Team Give Blood Coffee Morning
The Honiton Community support ‘Team Give Blood’ ahead of Olympics
People of Honiton are being encouraged to roll up their sleeves to support the Team Give Blood campaign this summer. With the Olympic Games upon us, stocks could potentially take a dip. The campaign aims to inspire others to come forward to ensure that vital supplies of blood are available for the patients that need them over the summer months.
The campaign has had support from top celebrities such as football pundit Gary Lineker and ice-skating legend Jayne Torvill. Sporting teams across the regions are showing their support and now even local communities are jumping on board.
To show her support for NHS Blood and Transplant local Honiton resident and recipient of blood transfusions, Melanie Smart, is organising a Team Give Blood registration coffee morning. The event will take place on Saturday 25th August between 10am and 12pm at the Sidmouth Arms, Upottery, Honiton, Devon EX14 9PL.
Tea, coffee and cake will be served and an NHS Blood and Transplant representative will be present to answer any questions. Photos will be taken to be sent out to local press and we will hear from Melanie about how blood saved her life.
If you would like to register as a blood donor or find out where you can donate locally, please come along and show your support! For more information about this event please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
