A local charity event to help some great causes, FORCE cancer charity and the Childrens Hospice South West. The mission is to celebrate the life of a very special member of the community, Sally Roberts, by raising as much money as possible for these charities.

Sally was the head teacher at St Peter’s School, Budleigh Salterton in Devon. Unfortunately, ill health forced her early retirement in October 2010. She was married to Jeremy, the principal of Sidmouth College.These are Jeremy’s words, taken from our local Newspaper “Sally was someone who took great joy in life and was able to show enormous love, not just to her family, but in all her relationships. Her life was those relationships. To us, the cancer was a dance and we were trying to keep a couple of steps ahead. Eventually, it caught up,” He also added that his wife of nearly 30 years not only leaves her own family - but hundreds of children she treated as if her own in the communities she served.

What's going to be happening?

There is going to be an event at the Sidmouth Rugby Club kicking off at 2pm until late. During the daytime we will have bouncy castles, face painting, food, drink, a cake baking competition, games, stalls…Something for every generation of your family. There will also be a balloon release late afternoon for you to come and write your wishes on a balloon to send off into the clouds. Also you will be able to welcome back 4 young men who are taking on a 100 mile walk finishing up right here in Sidmouth.

Late afternoon an open mic session will start, all are welcome to join in though we do ask if you are a definite let us know so we can put you on the list so we can accommodate as many acts as possible.

In to the evening we will have live music for everyone to have a dance to or just sit back and enjoy with a drink. There will be a celebrity auction later in the evening so get your bidding heads on- All to raise money for the charities!
