Honiton Train Station Improvements
Mayor Vernon Whitlock, Councillor Stuart Hughes and Andy Pitt, South West Trains Managing Director formally unveiled the £1.4 improvements to Honiton Train Station this week.
The improvements include: improved waiting area, brand new toilets, a new ramp on platform 2, a new retail unit and a new waiting shelter on platform 2.
Andy Pitt, Managing Director for South West Trains said:
“We are pleased to have delivered this significant project with our partners to provide a much improved station for Honiton’s passengers. It is great to see these new facilities.
“Passengers in Honiton rely on rail for over 328 thousand journeys every year, reflecting its importance to the community and local economy.
“I am sure local residents will take pride in the new look of their train station for years to come."
